M5 World Championship: Alien returns as Fire Flux look to climb

As we continue to break down each team heading to the M5 World Championship, our next focus will be Fire Flux Esports – Turkey’s representative.

When it comes to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and the M-Series, Turkey has only not been present at a region at one event – the M2 World Championship. Apart from that event, we have seen a string of Turkish teams heading in, with Evil Esports at M1, BEDEL at M3, Incendio Supremacy at M4, and now Fire Flux Esports at M5. However, one thing to note is that there is one player who has been present as a constant since M3, and this is the same squad that manned the fort for the region at the previous event, with the addition of another player from M3.

The team

Bariş “Alien” Ali Çakir
Paranoid
Ahmet “Rosa” Batir
Emre “Sunshine” Sari
Furkan “APEX47” Akbulut
Sidar “Tienzy” Menteşe

As mentioned previously, none of these players will be attending their first event, with Alien being one of the most prominent players from the region. Having played alongside BEDEL and Paranoid at M3, Alien moved on to Incendio Supremacy, which has since become Fire Flux Esports – and hopes to reach greater heights than he did before. The entire squad, except Paranoid, was at M4, and with Turkey continuing to grow with its MLBB, there’s a real chance for FFE to move up in the rankings even more.

The M-Series

While BEDEL with Alien and Paranoid only managed a ninth-twelfth place finish at M3, they definitely have utilised the experience to move forward. Alien brought his amazing playstyle to M4 and this team looked to be one of the major dark horses at times. Even during the group stage, where they were faced with Falcon Esports and Blacklist International, the Turkish squad held their own and took things to tiebreakers. Unfortunately, the experience of the other teams eventually reigned supreme, but Incendio was still a force to be reckoned with. M5 sees them return after attaining victory at the MTC Turkiye Championship Season 2 – and they will all be hoping to break into the top 6, at least, this time around.

The formula

FF’s power comes from all around, but Tienzy’s jungle play is something that all teams need to look out for. With Fredrinn and Baxia both being a part of the most recent MPL meta, Tienzy was a monster with these two heroes, while also showing fantastic proficiency with Fanny – a hero many find difficult to master or utilise during tournaments. Beyond that, with the entire team having experience on the M-Series front, they should be able to make some big moments happen, and possibly even cause some upsets once again.

With a squad that has played at the M-Series before and some amazing players who have become very well-known over the years by MLBB fans, Fire Flux Esports looks to have another promising year at the M-Series. However, Group B is a tough one, with Blacklist and RRQ Akira waiting and another team that will come through from the M5 Wildcard Tournament which will begin this week.
