MPL MY Season 12: Team Secret's struggles

It has been another poor start to MPL MY for Team Secret, as their loss streak went up to eleven, and Week 2 provides less hope.

Team Secret's foray into the ever-growing world of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has not been promising, with Season 11 in Malaysia leaving them with no victories after nine series. Hoping to turn this around, the team managed to make it through the qualifiers for Season 12, but it seems as though nothing has changed. And Week 2 is unlikely to give the team much hope, even with only a single series on their schedule.

As the Mobile Legends Professional League’s twelfth season in Malaysia moves into its second week of Regular Season action, we turn our eyes to Team Secret, who have not shown much promise within the event thus far. Despite a massive lead in their opening game, Secret’s poor coordination let them down at the final hurdle.

With that said, they may have faced two tough opponents and need to find their footing in other places, but Week 2 pins them against Red Giants Esports, who already took two solid victories from Week 1 and currently sit at the top of the log. It seems that the team has not quite grasped a meta for themselves just yet, and now would be the perfect time.

With some fantastic Malaysian players, and the bolstered assistance of two Indonesian imports, as well as Coach Zico for the Philippines influence, Team Secret should be making a name for themselves in Malaysia's MLBB scene, but they may go another season without a victory at this rate.

We will have to wait and see what they can do in the coming weeks- especially with Week 3 bringing them face-to-face with Team Lunatix, another team that is likely to have an extremely poor Regular Season. Team Secret takes on RG on Friday, August 25, the second series of the day.
