With just one week away from IEM San Jose, owner Andy "Reginald" Dinh finally announces Team SoloMid's temporary roster.
Ever since their return from Worlds, Team SoloMid has been one of the most talked about teams. They were once known as North America's best team, but have lost their title in the 2015 Summer Split to their rivals Counter Logic Gaming. In hopes to restore to their former glory, TSM's management look to improve in the standings by shaking up their starting roster.
It was previously noted that all positions excluding the Mid-lane were in need of players. With the recent announcement of acquiring Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng, who was was previously CLG's star player, as their starting ADC, it still left three major roles led to be filled. Instead of rushing into a commitment, Reginald has decided to create a temporary roster consisting of players from other LCS teams: Top Laner Kevin "Hauntzer" Yarnell, Jungler Dennis "Svenskeren" Jonhnsen, and Support Raymond "KaSing" Tsang.
Although it may seem unlikely for the newly built team to be successful throughout the competition, we can only hope for the best. This competition could be seen as a possible trial run to see if America's beloved team is stepping into the right direction. Who knows? If all goes well, this could even be the locked in roster for the 2016 Spring Split!
