Eight Teams will go head-to-head in a brand new high-stakes competition

2025 is set to have a huge shakeup in the Asia-Pacific League of Legends (LoL) esports scene as the LoL Championship Pacific (LCP) is set to kick off on January 17, 2025.

The LCP is the newest league for the Asia-Pacific that rolls the LCO (Oceania), VCS (Vietnam), LJL (Japan), and the PCS (Southeast Asia, Hong Kong & Taiwan) into one consolidated League. It will act as the sole qualifying pathway for global events.

Sweeping changes to how the League operates had been previously announced, including a new format, relegation and promotion and more. For more information on the season changes, click here.

Participating Teams and Partners

The LCP brings together a mix of Partner and Guest teams, each aiming to claim the title of the first-ever LCP champion. The 2025 roster includes:

Most matches in the LCP will take place on the live patch. However, exceptions are made only for patches released during or immediately before critical stages to preserve the League’s competitive fairness.

Promotion and Relegation (P&R) Tournament

After the Season finals, the P&R tournament will provide Guest Teams a chance to retain their spots in the LCP for 2026. The two teams who make it on top of the P&R Tournament will secure a spot for 2026.

  • Free-for-All (FFA): Involves the lowest-ranked Guest team and Wild Card or domestic league qualifiers.
  • Regional Merit: Prioritises Guest teams based on performance and regional representation.

However, guest teams who qualify for Worlds are exempt from the P&R Tournament.
