As Team SoloMid arrives home after going 1-5 at the Worlds group stage, there were many things that needed to be addressed. The announcement of Marcus “Dyrus” Hill may not seem like news to us, but both Jang-sik “Lustboy” Ham’s retirement and Lucas “Santorin” Larsen’s departure sure were.
For those of you who may not know, Dyrus announced his retirement earlier this split and made it official as he gave his farewell speech in front of the Worlds crowd after their last match against LGD (you can read more about his departure here.) Although he is done with playing in the competitive scene, Dyrus will still remain with TSM as a full time streamer, such as his ex-teammate Brian “TheOddOne” Wyllie has been doing ever since his retirement as well.

Not only are we losing one legend, but instead, two.Lustboy started his career with his team CJ Entus Blaze back in 2012 and migrated to NA in order to join TSM in 2014. He was loved by most and proved to many that foreign imports can be successful in the NA region. According to his statement (that can be found here,) Lustboy announces that he will remain on TSM, but as an analyst due to having shoulder injuries.

While two members still remain and two have retired, Santorin has announced that he and TSM will both be parting ways. It is not said what he plans to do, but as of right now, he is done playing competitively and may start streaming full time.
Conclusion
Although TSM are slowly rebuilding their brand to restore their former glory, we can only hope for the best at this point. They are currently accepting applications for top lane, jungle, and support and we will most likely be seeing the new TSM line-up soon as their next challenge approaches – IEM San Jose.
