Even without Bjergsen, North American fan favorites Team Solomid were able to close out the week so far 2-0 with Reginald as their sub.
TSM vs. CLG
The beginning of the game looked bright for CLG in the epic rivalry with CLG mindgaming TSM and Doublelift's trademarked Vayne acquiring first blood early on. CLG had an extensive lead early game with a huge farm lead. However, TSM's strong point was their rotations and they were able to catch them in a way that other teams haven't been able to.
Since CLG weren't able to rotate very well, they decided to roam middle and push to some success, but the choking was apparent in CLG's play and they started to constantly get caught and did not show the same quality of play from their last five wins. In a desperate attempt to flank late, TSM were able to wipe out CLG and grab a win.
EG vs. XDG
Evil Geniuses had a fantastic start to the game with Snoopeh acquiring 2 kills. XDG was overzealous with an early dive and Snoopeh did just the right amount of damage and kiting movements to keep himself alive while killing his opponents with vorpal spikes. This snowballed into a huge advantage for Evil Geniuses.
Also, Innox showed before and once again that he can do well with unconventional top laners, even though typically those shifting from the meta have been rewarded with punishment. After sustaining their lead and punishing XDG, as well as an unusually flawless game from Yellowpete on Jinx, XDG were easily pushed into their base and Evil Geniuses picked up a win.
C9 vs. CRS
Curse was coming up strong in the early game with a first blood for their team. However, Voyboy also was losing 1v1 in the mid lane as Syndra versus Hai's LeBlanc, despite winning the same matchup a week prior. Curse showed that even with a new support, they were confident to make plays, but they didn't have the map control required.
Cloud 9 showed once again that they are a top team in North America for map control and even though they didn't win their lanes like they usually would, they still had fantastic team work. Cop was the MVP for Curse as he picked up a triple kill at baron, having a nearly perfect KDA. However, the rest of the team didn't participate at the same level and CRS met their timely demise to end the first half of the second day of superweek.
