Hearthstone's team portfolio gets another potent and known figure with Curse Gaming picking up DogeHouse star Savjz. The Fin will carry the tag of the gaming organization as a one-man army at first, waiting for new blood to join.

Curse Gaming is dipping their toe in competitive Hearthstone, picking up Finnish star Janne 'Savjz' Mikkonen of DogeHouse fame. Similar to the way ROOT Gaming entered the ring, only signing one player at first, the known Curse Gaming is hiring the star as the centerpiece and sole player for now.

Considered to be one of the best players in Hearthstone today, the Finnish player can look at four games at ESGN's Fight Night, though he only boasts one victory. Despite that misfortune on the big stage, the reputation of a supreme player has always followed the star player, who is among the longest-reigning Kings of the Hill.

On top of that, Savjz also gathered the "Angry Chicken Invitational" trophy, a tournament in which he beat known professional players like Fight Night participant Koyuki and American pro apDrop. Additional exposure for the Fin came through the appearance in the SeatStory Cup in Krefeld, Germany, in which he represented the DogeHouse brand alongside team mates ek0p, Gnimsh and Artosis.

Now all that is going to the organization of Curse Gaming, who have been involved in eSports for a while now. Starting out as a community page with content for several games, the brand branched out to eSports by signing League of Legends, Call of Duty and even CS:GO professionals, the latter of which are now disbanded. The remainder of the teams stayed true to Curse Gaming and represent the flames in big profile leagues like the North American LCS, Major League Gaming competitions and IEM events.

For more information about this acquisition, the team and the player Savjz himself, GosuGamers is launching an exclusive interview with the Finnish star tomorrow.
