Evelyn was featured at The Game Awards in the shadows, but Zenless Zone Zero’s recent marketing drip has recently unveiled more information about her.
There’s a new Zenless Zone Zero Agent incoming, and it looks like she’s connected to Astra Yao. HoYoverse has revealed the Agent Record for an upcoming playable character named Evelyn Chevalier.
She first appeared as a side character in Astra Yao’s teaser at The Game Awards 2024, following New Eridu’s superstar in the shadows, but Zenless Zone Zero’s recent marketing drip has recently unveiled more information about her.
Evelyn Chevalier is part of a new faction in ZZZ
Evelyn introduced herself as Astra Yao’s manager and bodyguard, and belongs to one of the game’s new factions, Stars of Lyra. From the looks of it, this faction seems to be connected to famous musicians or actresses, and people who might be working behind the scenes.
She was described by an investor rep in the records as “unyielding, sharp, decisive, and never leaves openings for a rebuttal,” while some fans found her quite pretty on top of that, with one fan in particular asking if she was a celebrity as well.
According to her drip marketing, Evelyn will be a Fire character with Attack as her specialty, which may make her either an upgrade or an alternative to Soldier 11.
Not much else has been revealed about Evelyn, aside from a cryptic message from her Agent Record, about “using [a] secret to put a rest to that nightingale’s swan song,” most likely referring to Evelyn’s client, Astra Yao.
Evelyn and Astra will most likely arrive as part of Zenless Zone Zero’s Version 1.5 update in January 2025—so while everyone is still holding their breaths for this new faction, Version 1.4 will also release this week (December 18) with the much awaited Hoshimi Miyabi, a free S-rank agent, and more.
