Over the weekend, Managrind held yet another Open tournament. The tournament yet again had both major regions involved in it, but with a change. The NA region only had up until 3rd place, unlike the traditional 3rd/4th place.
First place in the NA region goes to Twisted. Twisted had a quite traditional Warlock Giant deck with the [card]Mountain Giant[/card] and [card]Molten Giant[/card] to give it its name. The deck had the famous [card]Ancient Watcher[/card] - [card]Sunfury Protector[/card] combo, for some early game, but had some late game cards and finishers such as [card]Leeroy Jenkins[/card], [card]Lord Jaraxxus[/card] and [card]Alexstrasza[/card]. Apart from the minions, the deck also had some good removal spells such as [card]Hellfire[/card], [card]Siphon Soul[/card] and [card]Shadowflame[/card].
Tiandroy grabs the 2nd place in the NA region with his low-budget Warlock deck. The reason that this deck is low budget is because that it contains no Epics and Legendarys, yet it made it all the way to 2nd place. The deck had several early-game aggression minions like [card]Abusive Sergeant[/card], [card]Flame Imp[/card] and [card]Leper Gnome[/card]. Surprisingly the deck only had two spells in it, with both being [card]Soulfire[/card]. Apart from the early-game minions, the deck held some late-game finishers due to cards like [card]Doomguard[/card].
3rd place in the NA region goes to a Managrind member, Realz. Realz used his high-spell Mage deck, in order to get up to 3rd place. The reason this is a high-spell deck is because the deck only held 10 minions, with some of them being only playable in the late-game. Until the late-game, the deck had some early game minions like [card]Mana Wyrm[/card], [card]Nat Pagle[/card] and [card]Acolyte of Pain[/card]. The deck also had some early-game removal with card such as [card]Frostbolt[/card], but also had many late game removal cards like [card]Fireball[/card] and [card]Polymorph[/card]. The reason the deck holds many spells is because it synergies very well with [card]Archmage Antonidas[/card] which is one of the late game drops in the deck.
Twisted's Giant Warlock - 1st place [NA] | Tiandroy's low-budget Warlock - 2nd place [NA] | Realz's High-spell Mage - 3rd place [NA] |

1st place in the Managrind EU goes to Youwillfall with his Control Warlock deck. The deck held the powerful [card]Ancient Watcher[/card] - [card]Sunfury Protector[/card] combo, but at the same time had a way to get some use out of the [card]Ancient Watcher[/card] by having an [card]Ironbeak Owl[/card] in the deck. The deck had some late-game drops like [card]Ragnaros the Firelord[/card], [card]Mountain Giant[/card] and [card]Molten Giant[/card] as well in it, in order to get some big hitting creatures.
Delarium21 grabs the 2nd place in the EU region with his Control Shaman deck. Surprisingly enough, the deck only held two legendarys, with them being [card]Al'Akir the Windlord[/card] and [card]Bloodmage Thalnos[/card]. The deck had good synergy with [card]Azure Drake[/card], [card]Bloodmage Thalnos[/card] and [card]Gadgetzan Auctioneer[/card] due to having multiple spells like [card]Feral Spirit[/card], [card]Lightning Bolt[/card] and [card]Lightning Storm[/card].
3rd/4th place in the EU region goes to sharpie with his Control Warrior deck. The deck had brilliant synergy with [card]Baron Geddon[/card] by including cards such as [card]Acolyte of Pain[/card], [card]Armorsmith[/card] and [card]Frothing Berserker[/card]. At the same time, the deck also held beefy cards to survive [card]Baron Geddon[/card] such as [card]Ragnaros the Firelord[/card] and [card]Grommash Hellscream[/card]. The deck had some removal with the help of cards like [card]Execute[/card], [card]Fiery War Axe[/card] and [card]Big Game Hunter[/card].
Milithium makes a return by also grabbing the 3rd/4th place in the EU region with his Control Druid deck. The deck had big late-game creatures like [card]Hogger[/card], [card]Cenarius[/card] and [card]Onyxia[/card]. At the same time, the deck had some mid-ranged and early-game cards such as [card]Earthen Ring Farseer[/card], [card]Harvest Golem[/card] and [card]Chillwind Yeti[/card]. The deck held some decent removal due to cards like [card]Starfall[/card] and [card]Swipe[/card], with both of them having good synergy with [card]Bloodmage Thalnos[/card] which was also included in the deck.
