Red Bull Kumite, one of Street Fighter's most iconic events, will be returning to the city where it all began for its 10th anniversary.
Red Bull Kumite 2025, the first major Street Fighter 6 tournament of 2025 since the conclusion of the Capcom Cup Finals, is set to kick off on 5 April in the Maison de la Mutualité in Paris, France – back to the city where the series began in 2015. The 10th anniversary of Red Bull's iconic Red Bull Kumite Street Fighter tournament series will feature 16 of the best Street Fighter players in the world competing for their cut of the €50,000 (over US$54,000) prize pool.
Red Bull Kumite 2025: Players, format, prize pool, and more
The participating players at Red Bull Kumite 2025 will feature 14 directly-invited players as well as the winners of the Last Chance Qualifier and Play-In. The 14 directly-invited players are also further split into two groups: Team Legends and Team Underdogs.
Team Legends features eight of the most dominant players in the history of Street Fighter, including Street Fighter icon Daigo “Daigo” Umehara, Red Bull Kumite 2024 champion Saul Leonardo “MenaRD” Mena II, and the first-ever Red Bull Kumite champion in Masato “Bonchan” Takahashi. Red Bull Kumite 2025 will take place across two days of competition from 5 to 6 April, with the tournament series' iconic caged arena coming to Maison de la Mutualité in Paris, France.
The tournament will begin on 5 April with the 256-player Last Chance Qualifier, where one of the two remaining spots in the main event will be up for grabs. The eight-player Play-In will take place at the same time, with the second remaining spot at stake.
The Red Bull Kumite 2025 Main Event will then commence on 6 April and features a unique, high-stakes format: a live draw of the tournament bracket by the players followed by simple elimination from start to finish in 'first to five' matches.
The 16 players qualified for Red Bull Kumite 2025 are guaranteed at least €2,000 (over US$2,100) in winnings. Of course, every legend and underdog in the tournament will be gunning for the €9,000 (over US$9,800) grand prize. Here's the full prize pool breakdown for Red Bull Kumite 2025:
