Rainbow Six Siege X has revealed its big revamp and surprised fans with a beta test.
Rainbow Six Siege X has revealed several of its major improvements during a recent Ubisoft showcase. The massive Rainbow Six Siege overhaul will include a new 6v6 game mode called Dual Front, which promises to be more chaotic than the regular Siege experience.
Rainbow Six Siege X also surprised the fans of the series with a beta test running from now until 19 March. However, players can't simply sign up to enter the beta test. Instead, access is given to players via Twitch drops by watching several partnered streamers playing Rainbow Six Siege online.

Ubisoft unveils Rainbox Six Siege X details
Rainbow Six Siege X's new Dual Front mode is a six versus six mode that breaks the norm the game has set for a decade. Now, you can mix attackers and defenders with dynamic objectives that further blur the lines between attack and defense. In this mode, operator's gadget has unlimited usage, however, they will be put on cooldown after each use. Players will also respawn after they get killed and can swap operators while respawning.
While the game is more chaotic, it's still not a team deathmatch game. Players still need to complete dynamic objectives to win the mode. The Dual Front Mode will also be available to play in a standalone beta running up to 19 March.
Besides the Dual Front Mode, the game also makes several improvement to the beloved Six Siege. On the gameplay side of things, the game will finally enable players to utilise fire extinguisher and gas pipes to their advantage. Rappel mechanics is improved with horizontal movement and more fluid movement. There is also a complete rework of audio propagation and reverberation. Rainbow Six Siege X will launch on 10 June, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One via Ubisoft Connect, Steam, and Epic Games, as well as with a Ubisoft+ Premium subscription.
