An all-new Agent and faction have been revealed for Zenless Zone Zero.
HoYoverse’s action-RPG Zenless Zone Zero has unveiled a new playable Agent potentially arriving in Version 1.7: Vivian. The graceful parasol-wielding Agent was also revealed to be part of an all-new in-game faction this week, called Mockingbird. While Mockingbird hasn’t seen a major presence in Zenless’ story yet, it has been teased in other ways; namely, we know that Lycaon was part of the organisation for a while.
Zenless Zone Zero shows off new Agent Vivian
Zenless Zone Zero might have just revealed an all-new playable Agent gracing the first half of its upcoming Version 1.7 update. Anyone who has played through Version 1.5’s full contents will be quite familiar with her, as well. In drip marketing released this week, HoYo confirmed that Vivian will be one of the game’s upcoming playable characters, and an S-Rank Ether Anomaly Agent to boot.
A few quotes included in her big reveal hint at her personality, such as: "Robbers? Thieves? Call us whatever you want, for we do not bother with the opinions of worthless trash.” One might surmise that Vivian is not to be taken lightly based on this quote, but her next two lines imply otherwise: “My parasol shall only be shared with Lord Phaethon” and “I truly wish Lord Phaethon's gaze would linger only on me.”
As Phaethons, just be glad that Vivian has taken a liking to you. Interestingly, an anonymous Inter-Knot user is also quoted to say “Lately, those crazy Phaethon fans haven’t been posting love messages all over Inter-Knot, and it’s starting to seem a bit unusual…” Taking the previous two quotes into account, this implies that Vivian’s more than a little smitten with Belle and Wise, and has been frequently posting loving messages about them online.
Vivian hails from a new in-game faction called Mockingbird, which will be featured heavily in March’s Version 1.6 update. Both Vivian and her fellow Mockingbird member Hugo were spotted in Version 1.6’s story trailer along with Lycaon, the latter of whom was revealed to be a former member of the faction in his Agent Story.
Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.6 drops on 12 March, 2025, adding new characters Soldier 0 Anby, Pulchra, and Trigger, plus rerun banners for Burnice and Zhu Yuan.
