A new electro character is set to debut in Genshin Impact’s upcoming Version 5.5.
A new playable character for Genshin Impact has been revealed today, 17 February, on all Genshin Impact social media platforms. Affiliated with Iansan and Natlan, the new character is named Varesa, and she will wield the electro element.
Not much is known about Varesa in-game, as she is yet to be mentioned or included in story quests or events. But according to her official introduction, Varesa is known as a stalwart warrior and an orchard owner from the Collective of Plenty. Iansan describes Varesa as her most unusual pupil, remembered for her laid-back and childish personality.
But don’t be fooled! Even Iansan warns about Varesa’s personality shift when it comes to the battlefield, as once she dons her mask, players can expect quite an aggressive warrior who will rush head on to defeat her enemies. This gives way to a certain children’s legend about a “Masked Hero” who descends whenever chaos is present, making Varesa somewhat of a Darkknight Hero similar to Diluc of Mondstadt.
But even though Varesa is quite the formidable fighter, she’s generally shy and hardworking, and is always on the lookout for her next tasty meal. Varesa’s weapon preference and rarity is yet to be known, but we can expect her to be a 5-star character considering Genshin Impact’s usual trends when it comes to drip marketing new characters. She will debut in Version 5.5.
Genshin Impact is currently in the first half of Version 5.4, with new character Yumemizuki Mizuki headlining the banners alongside Sigewinne.
