The gorge welcomed the newest hero of Honor of Kings, Shi.
Honor of Kings has announced that Shi will be its newest hero in November. The Silky Beauty joins the vast array of mages in the game with strong crowd control and spammable skills. The hero will arrive on the global server sometime from November 9th to 16th.
The Honor of Kings social media account spilled a little lore for her: Shi is a treasure-seeking girl from the Southlands that got a magical silk by serendipity. This silk helped her solve problems, but also brought her some troubles.
Shi can be described as a control mage with two very spammable crowd control skills. She can control the direction of her enemy's movement using her silk string while spamming slow-inducing orbs to the area where her enemies stand.
Her passive allows her to deal high damage when standing far away from her target. While her skill's range isn't too wide, she can grapple her enemy to get as close as possible to her, making them take more damage from her skills.
Her ultimate is a unique one, as she enhances her vision by zooming out the player screen, refreshing all of her abilities' cooldowns, making her silk string usable twice, and reducing her orb cooldown by half.
While she excels in crowd control and team fights, she lacks the mobility to save herself. She has difficulties facing against high-mobility heroes, particularly divers that can close the distance to her rapidly.
Shi would be best paired by teammate that can peel for her while she occupies the enemy's most dangerous hero.
Shi will be the 95th hero and the 26th mage on the Honor of Kings global server. In addition to Shi, there will be one more hero coming to the gorge by the end of November. The rumour mill suggests that it will be Mi Yue, but no official tease has been posted by the Honor of Kings account so far.
