The CAPCOM Pro Tour 2024 took to Singapore this weekend, with the top two finishers securing their spots at Capcom Cup 11.

The Street Fighter 6 CAPCOM Pro Tour (CPT) 2024: Singapore Super Premier concluded its three-day run on Sunday (October 20) with Japan's Shuto “Shuto” Matsumoto claiming ultimate victory after defeating the United States' Alan “Nephew” Sun, 3-2, in the grand finals.

The win nets Shuto the $10,000 grand prize while Nephew walks away with $3,000 in consolation. But more importantly for both players, they have also qualified to the Capcom Cup 11, which takes place in March 2025.

As part of the CPT 2024, the Singapore Super Premier was the first “Super Premier” of the year and was hosted in Singapore as part of gamescom asia 2024. With 385 players registered for the event, the Singapore Super Premier also featured many of the biggest names in Street Fighter 6.

The first two days of the Singapore Super Premier whittled down the 365 entrants into the Top 16 for the final day, with the Top 8 advancing into the Finals Bracket and earning a cut of the $18,400 prize pool.

It was a glorious upper bracket run for Shuto, who cleared through two challengers with ease to secure the first Grand Finals spot. Having never won any 1v1 event previously, Shuto seemed primed to take the win, with a strong showing on his highly favoured Akuma. Meawhile, Nephew earned the right to challenge Shuto after a blistering lower bracket run, taking down four opponents in one nail-biting elimination series after another.

The grand finals went the distance, with both alternating wins until the deciding game five. But in then end, Shuto's fearsome Akuma finally overcame Nephew's Juri to earn the Japanese player the Singapore Super Premier title.

Shuto and Nephew now join Victor “Punk” Woodley, Saul Leonardo "MenaRD" Mena II, Maivine "Kusanagi" Touitou, and Hiromiki "Itabashi Zangief" Kumada in the list of players that have qualified for Capcom Cup 11 through top placements in the CPT 2024's Premier tournaments.

Capcom Cup 11 will feature the 48 of the best Street Fighter 6 players from the CPT 2024 fighting for their cut of the over $1.2 million prize pool in March 2025 in Tokyo, Japan.

More slots in Capcom Cup 11 will be up for grabs in the next CPT 2024 event, the Japan Super Premier, which will be hosted in November.
