Capcom reveals more details on the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection
Ace Attorney games typically feature an ensemble of colourful characters, and the remastered Ace Attorney Investigations Collection is no exception. Franziska von Karma and Ema Skye return from previous Ace Attorney games for this collection, while a newcomer named Eustace Winner makes his debut.
Franziska is a legal prosecutor who enters Miles Edgeworth’s orbit in this collection, while Ema is connected to a case from his past. Eustace, on the other hand, is a rookie district prosecutor who has been assigned to take over all of Edgeworth’s cases.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the Ace Attorney Investigations games included in this remastered collection, here’s what you need to know: you’ll play as a prosecutor named Miles Edgeworth, who has to investigate crime scenes, collect information and find the truth behind complex criminal cases. This collection also expands on a gameplay mechanic from the first game called Little Thief, which allows players to recreate crime scenes using a nifty little gadget.
Another returning mechanic is Mind Chess, which has players go head-to-head with stubborn suspects through a game of mental chess. These are essentially interrogations where players have to pay attention to an opponent’s words and expressions, and ask the right questions in real time conversations.
The Ace Attorney Investigations Collection is now open for pre-orders, including a bonus of five extra in-game tracks. A physical ‘special set’ for the Nintendo Switch also includes these five songs on a disc and two acrylic stands. The collection launches on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on September 6, 2024.
