After seven years of playing, Hector Antonio “K1” Rodriguez will take a break from competing.
Hector Antonio “K1” Rodriguez has been one of the better players to emerge from the South American Dota 2 region. Grinding it out for the last seven years, he has quite a few accolades under his belt – having played at multiple DPC Majors and TIs.
But that can be exhausting and to take care, Hector will be taking a break. In his heartfelt Facebook post, K1 tells his fans and followers
“I can't do it anymore, I'm mentally exhausted.”
SA is notoriously known for a hyper-aggressive playstyle. More often than not, the SA teams surprise their adversaries with a meta of their own or a twisted interpretation of the meta. Historically, the SA teams have been able to pull the upsets by revealing heroes that not many have explored. Most times they play ‘on instinct’. K1, himself, is known for his particular playstyle of melee heroes – a carry player most noted for his Wraith King.
Heroic took 9-12th place at The International 2024 after falling to Aurora 2:1 in the Lower Brackets Round 2.
