With Team Falcons making quick work of Cloud9 earlier in the day, five teams remained at The International 2024. However, another two lower bracket series remained for the penultimate day, and we would be down to three by the close of play today. Xtreme Gaming and Tundra Esports were the next to that went to battle, as they looked to find themselves a guaranteed top 4 spot at TI13.

After ending the run of Aurora just yesterday, managing to find some brilliance when it mattered – but when it mattered most, that is when they fell apart. Going up against Tundra seemed to be far too much for the final hope for China at TI2024 as they stumbled to a fantastic Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko Lone Druid twice. In the first game, the team barely managed to amass three kills, as they went down a game, even with Pure dying to a Tormentor.

Game two would see Pure taking the Lone Druid once more, and with immaculate farming across the map, he was miles ahead of his opponents for quite some time. Even with the resistance from XG, Tundra won fight after fight, as the CN team struggled to ever find a kill on more than Topias Miikka “Topson” Taavitsainen or the supports. With one final attempt around Roshan, XG failed again, losing Wang “Ame” Chunyu's Monkey King without buyback and eventually threw in the towel with the GG call moments later.

The loss is a hard one for Ame, who continues to remain uncrowned at TI, while Tundra will now have to take on Falcons later in the day, as they look to make their way into the lower bracket finals and possibly the grand finals of The International 2024. With only four teams left, The International 2024 is definitely heating up, and we now turn our attention to the upper bracket finals to see who the first grand finalist will be.
