The final five teams for Elite League have been determined. Nigma is on board for the season, along with 9Pandas, Blacklist, Talon, and Boom Esports.
Elite League closed qualifiers have come to an end. Nine teams total from the seven regions advanced to the main event/
The results for many of the regions didn't seem too surprising. 9Pandas was the frontrunner for Eastern Europe and although they took a hit from YeS in the upper bracket finals, they were able to come back ahead in their rematch in the grand finals.
South America had a few stacks and teams that looked like they could take the spot for the league, but in the end, Boom Esports cruised through the brackets undefeated, without dropping a single game. It was an impressive journey and has drawn some eyes to them.
Southeast Asia had the privilege of securing two slots for the league. That allowed both Talon and Blacklist to advance, both showing they were dominant over their peers with quite a few sweeps.
Perhaps the most exciting news is for fans to see Nigma back in action outside of qualifiers. Although the region had only a handful of teams competing and both Falcons and Quest had already secured invites, seeing Nigma finally secure a place is a highlight. Who doesn't want to see Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi, Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan, and Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi?
Elite League is an online tournament taking place from March 31st through April 15th. A total of 24 teams will participate in the main event worth $960,000.
