nouns claim the NA and SA qualifier slot for BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024

North American team nouns reign supreme in the North and South America qualifiers bracket for the $1,000,000 tournament BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024.

Much like with China and Southeast Asia, the tournament organiser combined North and South America in one single bracket. One team from each region made it to the qualifier grand finals. nouns made a glorious upper bracket run after sending Shopify Rebellion to the elimination rounds while Heroic made their debut in the Dota 2 scene by eliminating SR from the qualifiers and ultimately joining the grand finals.

It all started well for Heroic who opened the best-of-five series with a mid lane Keeper of the Light and managed to outpace nouns’ Meepo-Arc Warden draft and take the first game victory. However,  

Heroic entered the Dota 2 space at the beginning of the year by signing a South American roster and BetBoom Dacha qualifiers marked the organisation’s debut in the scene.  However, the next three games went nouns’ way as they kept targeting Héctor "K1" Rodríguez, Heroic’s carry player.

This will mark nouns’ first LAN tournament in the new formula. Despite making a great impression at The International 2023, where they were the only NA team to make it to the top 8, nouns still lost three players in the post event shuffle.

Heroic have one more shot this month to make it to a $1,000,000 tournament via open qualifiers for DreamLeague Season 22 which are already in full swing, so stay tuned for further updates!
