Entity and Daniel "Stormstormer" Schoetzau will go separate ways in the next competitive year.
For now, the German mid-laner is moved to an inactive status at Entity, but he is free to pursue new options, the organisation announced.
“Sometimes is time for changes…” said Entity upon breaking the news on X.
Stormstormer has been with Entity for the past two years. The Indian organisation picked up Stormstormer’s stack Creepwave in late 2021, in the post TI10 shuffle and started from Division II in the stacked Western European Dota Pro Circuit to reach the TI stage within a season. TI11 marked Entity and Stormstormer’s debut at the pinnacle Dota 2 tournament. Their performance in Singapore in 2022 delivered a historic 107-minute game, the longest to have ever been played on the TI main stage, that eliminated RNG from The International 2022.
Unfortunately, the 2023 competitive year brought struggles for Entity, who took a longer time to adjust to a new carry player. They missed two of the three Majors in the season leading up to TI12, but they bounced back in a crushing manner in the WEU regional qualifiers, taking down the likes of Nigma Galaxy and Team Secret to make it to Seattle. TI12, however, brought the same 9th-12th placement for Entity who now enter the shuffle window by benching one of their pillars.

“My dedication to this game and being a good teammate is just like before,” posted Stormstormer upon being moved to an inactive status on the Entity line-up.
With ESL One Kuala Lumpur qualifiers set to commence later this month, Stormstormer’s fans won’t have to wait for too much until he finds a new home.
