The DPC 2021 Season 1 is wrapping up with fierce intensity as regions head into tie-breaker games to determine Singapore Major spots.
If what you are looking for from the DPC is intense matches with everything on the line during the witching hour, then the DPC 2021 Season 1 tie-breaker weekend is for you.
Many of the regions will be heading into tie-breaker matches to fight for the final spot in the Major or the Wild Card series. The first LAN in more than a year is around the corner, DPC points are at stake and the path to the highly anticipated International is being laid out. Few victories (and losses) could have as heavy implications as these.
SEA
Fnatic secured the first seed and a place in the Singapore Major playoffs as expected by most. However, the Singapore Major group stage placement and the Wild Card series are still up for grabs. Spoiler alert: It does NOT feature TNC Predator.
Neon Esports, the rising SEA force, and T1, the Korean-based new kids on the block, turned heads and surprised everyone this season. Both teams are occupying second place with a 5:2 record and now need to go head to head for seeding.

EU
Stacked to the rim with some of the highest caliber teams, Europe continues to be touted as the strongest and most competitive region. Given a total of four spots for Singapore Major -- one playoff spot, one group stage spot, and two wild card series -- it wasn't enough to send all of the major contenders.
Team Secret *of course,* was the first team to secure their place. They were then followed by Alliance and Team Nigma. Now, OG, Team Liquid, and newcomer Tundra Esports will fight for the last Wild Card spot.
Many can argue that OG doesn't actually show up until it is time for TI, but to get there this year, they will need to rack up some points in just two available majors.

NA
Perhaps considered one of the weakest regions as of late, North America has found itself in need of some tie-breakers for both Major slots AND relegation into the lower division for the next season. In fact, NOTHING has been determined yet.
Quincy Crew has been just as impressive in the league season as they were in the 'offseason' and aims to wrest the title of Kings of NA from Evil Geniuses. And they are pretty damn close. Locked in a three-way tie for 1st with 6:1 records around the table, Quincy Crew, EG, and Undying are fighting for EVERYTHING there is in NA.
Meanwhile, Peter "PPD" Dager's return to competitive play has been sub-par as he and his SADBOYS will be fighting to even just avoid relegation into the lower division for next season (in reality, we know it could mean disband regardless).
It's a tie-breaker Sunday in NA with a full day to sort it all out.

CIS
Na'Vi and Virtus.pro seem to have reclaimed their status as the top teams in the CIS region, but the next in line still needs to be determined.
AS Monaco Gambit and Team Spirit have had average results mixed with some flashes of brilliance, and that has been enough to land ONE of them a spot in the Major wild card series.
Like the NA region, there also needs to be tie-breakers for lower-division relegation, something neither Team Empire or Team Unique is looking forward to.

China still has one more week of competitive play in the DPC 2021 Season 1 league after a week off to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
Season 1
Season 1 league dates: January 18th – February 28th. (March 14th for China with a break in the middle)
Major 1: March 25th – April 4th
Major Slots
At the end of the league, the top teams from each region’s upper-division will qualify to the Major. For the first major, the distribution of the 18 slots will be as follows:
EU: Top 4 (2 to wildcard)
China: Top 4 (2 to wildcard)
SEA: Top 3 (1 to wildcard)
CIS: Top 3 (1 to wildcard)
NA: Top 2
SA: Top 2
