NA will be getting their first DPC event in over a year as the Dota Summit will be the first Minor of the new DPC 2019-2020 season.
The last DPC event held in North America (aside from TI8 held in Canada) was Captain's Draft 4.0 held in January 2018 in Washington, DC and Summit 8 held in Los Angeles just before that in December 2017. Both events were Minors and Valve's last events held in the United States.
Now BTS has come to bring the DPC back to NA soil.
As with all Minors in the DPC, eight teams determined via qualifiers will battle it out for the lion's share of the $300,000 prize pool and 660 DPC points as well as the highly coveted spot at the following Major.
This marks the first time that BTS will be holding an event with a live studio audience, so be sure to stay tuned for ticket sales information.
The qualifiers will be taking place in just a few weeks, October 5-10th, in combination with the qualifiers for the first Major whose location is yet to be revealed.
Teams have until September 28th to register their official teams in order to be invited to the closed qualifiers for the first wave.

*Since the minor winner also gets to participate in the major, they will only get points for the event in which they placed better (e.g: If they place last in the major, they will only get 140 points for winning the minor. If they place 8th instead, they'd get the 450 points for the major but not the 140 points from the minor)
