Two teams and one additional player, all from Russia, have been denied entry to Ukraine just two days before StarLadder ImbaTV Kiev Minor.

Visa issues and esports - name a more iconic duo. Unfortunately, the visa problems have reared it's ugly head again, this time affecting all Russian players.

Political tensions have been rising between Ukraine and Russia recently with the upcoming Ukrainian election. For the players of Gambit esports, Old but Gold and Igor "ILTW" Filatov, that means they have been stopped at the border and denied entry.

While StarLadder staff will be working diligently to get the players to the venue in time for the StarLadder ImbaTV Kiev Minor, it is cutting pretty close with the group stage slated to begin on Thursday, March 7th.

The third Minor of the DPC 2018-2019 season will be held in Kiev, Ukraine March 7th to the 10th.

Eight teams will battle it out for the lion's share of the $300,000 prize pool, 500 DPC points and the highly coveted ticket to the DreamLeague Season 11 Stockholm Major.
