CIS teams top Maincast Autumn Brawl group stage

Maincast Autumn Brawl group stage comes to close with CIS teams coming out on top so far. 

Over the course of the last few days, sixteen teams from EU and CIS have gone head to head in the Russian studio, Maincast's, first big event. With $80,0000 on the line, the teams competed for one of eight places in the playoffs and the chance to claim the championship title. 

Four CIS teams - NoPangolier, Na'Vi, Underdogs and Winstrike came out on top in their respective groups - all with undefeated records. 

The four group leaders will be joined by Team Spirit, Nemiga Gaming, Espada and Team Lithium in the first round of the playoffs. Virtus.pro, Team Secret, Gambit and NiP will join the winners for the second round. 

Playoffs kick off tomorrow at 14:00 CEST and will be broadcast on location in English by Sheever, ODPixel, Fogged, Kyle, Godz, KillerPigeon & LizZard HERE and in Russian by the Maincast studio HERE

Maincast Autumn Brawl format:

  • Invites
  • Group Stage:
    • Sixteen teams are divided into four groups of four teams each where they play in a double-elimination (GSL) format.
    • All matches are played in a Bo1, apart from the lower bracket final (Bo3).
    • The top two teams from each group advance to the playoffs.
  • Playoffs:
    • Eight teams from the groupstage join four invited teams, who have been seeded into the quarterfinals. They play in a single-elimination format.
    • All matches are played in a Bo3 format apart from a Bo5 grand final.

 

Maincast Autumn Brawl prizepool:

Total prizepool is $80,000 split up in the following way:

1st place: $50,000
2nd place: $15,000
3rd-4th place: $4,500
5-8th place: $1,500
