In the new DPC 2018-2019 season, there are no more 'hard' roster locks and teams are already shuffling after not finding success in the first wave of qualifiers.

The first wave of DPC event qualifiers has come and gone. The Kuala Lumpur Major and DreamLeague Season 10 Minor gave access to a total of 23 different teams to participate in the prestigious LANs. Many of the expected and reputable rosters made it through the challenge. Many other newer or lesser known teams found their way through the test with success as well.

Others, unfortunately, did not end with the results they had hoped for. For some of these teams, they are already taking advantage of the lack of any 'hard' roster locks for the season and shuffling their lineup early to find the right mix before the next big qualifiers.

HOW DOES THE REGISTRATION PROCESS WORK?

Players and teams can be registered at any point during the season. There is no longer any hard deadline when team rosters are locked, though there are DPC point penalties for making changes to your roster and for playing with subs.

WHO CAN REMOVE A PLAYER FROM A TEAM?

The manager of a team can remove any player from their team, and any player can remove themselves from a team. Doing so will incur a penalty to the team of 20% of all DPC points earned up to that point in the season.

WHEN CAN ROSTER CHANGES BE MADE?

Changes can be made at any point during the season up to when The International 2019 invites happen and TI Qualifiers start.

Odium

After a season of tension and frustrating end results,  Ilya 'Lil' Ilyuk took it into his own hands to change his fate and created a new team called Odium. He gathered seasoned players from across the CIS region to help him build something solid and his new 'family' for the upcoming DPC 2018-2019 season. However, after being eliminated in the second round of lower brackets in The Kuala Lumpur Major, they were forced into the open qualifiers for DreamLeague Season 10 Minor but failed to last long enough to gain access to the closed qualifiers.

The team will be playing with subs for the upcoming ESL One Hamburg qualifiers that kick off today.

Odium roster:
Ukraine Ilya 'Lil' Ilyuk
Ukraine Semion 'CemaTheSlayer' Krivulya
Ukraine Andrey 'Ghostik' Kadyk

Newbee

In the days following the Kuala Lumpur Major qualifiers, Newbee already made a change in their roster, removing Tang "CatYou" Xiaolei from the lineup - moving to the second squad. In DreamLeague Season 10 Minor, Newbee played with their coach Wang "Banana" Jiao standing in for Yan "Waixi" Chao.

Newbee roster:
China Xu 'Moogy ' Han
China Song 'Sccc' Chun
China He "Inflame" Yongzheng
China Zeng 'Faith' Hongda
China Yan "Waixi" Chao
