ESL One Hamburg 2018 qualifier info for CN, SEA, NA, EU

The folks at ESL have released the information regarding the qualifiers for ESL One Hamburg 2018, their first big event of the upcoming year.

Teams looking to compete and make a name for themselves starting early in the season can sign up to compete for ESL One Hamburg 2018. Starting at the end of the month, two teams from each of the four designated qualifier regions will be able to advance from the open qualifiers into the regional events to face off against two top teams from each region. With only four teams battling it out for one spot, the action is sure to be filled with grit and moxie.

Virtus.pro, the ESL One Birmingham 2018 Major champions, have already answered the call to attend ESL One Hamburg 2018. Eight teams will be invited and four will be able to qualify to compete. 

ESL One Hamburg 2018 Qualifier Info: 

There will be four regions with open and regional qualifiers — Europe, North America, China, and SEA. Each of these four regions have been given ONE slot each for the main event.

ESL One Hamburg 2018 Info: 

ESL One Hamburg 2018 will have an expanded format featuring round robin groups and double elimination playoff brackets.
 

  • Date: Oct 23th - Oct 28th
  • Participated teams: 12 teams


Group-stage Format: 

  • Teams will be divided into two groups
  • Round robin two-game series
  • Top two teams each group will advance to playoffs Upper-Bracket
  • Bottom two teams each group will advance to playoffs Lower-Bracket


Main event format: 

  • Double elimination bracket
  • All matches are 'Bo3' 
  • Grand-final match will be 'Bo5'
