Vega replace LGD at StarLadder ImbaTV Invitational S5

Vega Squadron answered the call to replace LGD Gaming on such short notice as they withdrew from StarLadder ImbaTV Invitational S5 merely days before the start of the event.

Hot off taking second place and 450 DPC at DAC 2018 Major, LGD Gaming backed out of participating in the next minor that was scheduled to take place starting April 12th.

Vega Squadron will replace LGD Gaming at the LAN final of the StarLadder ImbaTV Invitational. Chinese team refused to participate in the event because of intense tournaments schedule.

The Chinese team is still on course to compete at EPICENTER XL Major starting April 27 in Moscow, giving the impression that LGD Gaming is prioritizing Majors over Minors as they prepare more intensively for events weighed heavier in the DPC rankings. Currently, the team is in 7th place, on the cusp of getting or losing a TI8 direct invite.

With Vega Squadron being the runner-up team for the CIS regional qualifiers for StarLadder and not needing to secure any visas for the trip, they seemed like the next logical choice to organizers.

Vega will assume the position in the group with Na'ViFnatic and SG Esports. Their first match will be against the South American team.
