VGJ.Storm have officially welcomed back Sneyking and YawaR, signing NA team IDC.
Although the roster playing together under the name IDC registered in the roster lock period as VGJ.Storm, there had been no official announcment from the organization and the team continued to participate in qualifiers under their stack name. That is, until today, when hours before opening match for DreamLeague Season 9 qualifiers the organization finally made the acquistion public.
Only two weeks ago, the organization had dissolved the entire team after a rather disappointing entrance into the NA scene for the Pro Circuit 2017-2018 season. Fueled by a spate of roster changes and cycling through various stand-ins, the latest lineup including Brian ‘BSJ’ Canavan, Jaron ‘monkeys-forever’ Clinton, Francis ‘FLee’ Lee and Stanley ‘Stan King’ Yang was let go in the middle of several NA qualifiers.
Quietly, one-two days after the roster was dissolved, JingJun ‘_Sneyking’ Wu and Yawar "YawaR" Hassan registered along with mss, svg and timado under VGJ.Storm. Fans were left to speculate but were scratching their heads at the lack of official announcement.
Sneyking was part of the original lineup when the team was formed post TI7. When Ravindu 'Ritsu' Kodippili parted ways with the team at the end of November, YawaR stepped in to help fill the void for a short period of time.
The team has already been competing in several of the NA qualifiers including DAC 2018 with a 4th place finish and failing to get through the group stage for EPICENTER XL.
