Following a rough start in the Dota Pro Circuit, Fnatic announced a few changes in within their team.
First and foremost, they benched out Steve 'Xcalibur' Ye and welcomed to the team the SEA 10K MMR player Abed 'Abed' Yusop. This decision will bring Fnatic a penalty in qualifying points earned if they are to reach any of the minors and majors before the next shuffle window.
Since the start of the new season, Fnatic played in five tournaments qualifiers but haven’t been able to win any of them. However, a stroke of luck saw them participating at the ESL One Hamburg Major at the end of October, as replacements for HappyFeet, and last week they’ve been traveling to AMD SAPPHIRE Dota Pit Minor as replacements for Mineski. Unfortunately, they finished bottom two in both of the events and an imminent changed was expected by many, especially after Abed announced his departure from Digital Chaos a few weeks ago.
Abed joining Fnatic is not the only change that the organization is making. They also waved goodbye to their coach, Ahmad 'ADTR' Syazwan and welcomed Adam 'Adam/343' Shah in his place. Adam has been part of the Fnatic active roster and their drafter at The International 2016 when they placed 4th in Seattle, which is their best record so far.
Fnatic current roster:
Jacky 'EternaLEnVy' Mao
Abed 'Abed' Yusop
Chong Xin 'Ohaiyo' Khoo
Djardel 'DJ' Mampusti
Johan 'pieliedie' Åström
Coach: Adam 'Adam/343' Shah
