Although announced to take place during the main event of the Dota 2 Asia Championships, the 1v1 Solo Tournament will kick off on the 29th of March after the group stages have finished.
The small schedule change is not the only one we'll see, as fans of Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev will be pleased to hear that their favorite player will in fact participate in the mini event, despite not getting enough community votes to make the top eight. Daryl Koh 'iceiceice' Pei Xiang, who got the eighth place with a total of 23,324 votes, has decided to withdraw, giving his spot to Arteezy. The tournament will be held in a bo1 single elimination bracket, Shadow Fiend only, with a bo3 grand final.
While the semifinals and the grand final will still be played on the 2nd of April on the big stage at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center, the quarterfinals will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, March 28 after the group stage matches.
