The champion of the GEC Season 1 SEA Qualifiers, TnC eSports, announced that they will no longer be able to participate in the said tournament due to visa problems.
TnC, the team that successfully defeated Signature.Trust in a 3-0 sweep in a best-of-five playoffs and secured the one and only slot for South East Asia at Game Show Global eSports Cup Season 1, has announced that they will not be able to attend. The reason behind this surprising announcement is because of visa issues. They were not able to resolve the problem in time resulting into not being able to travel to Lithuania and forfeiting their slot in the event.
TnC manager, Claurice Sta. Ana, has released a statement containing explanations behind the said problem:
We would like to thank all the people who tried to helped us. Joebert Yu - President of PeSPA, the whole team of Senator Bam Aquino and all the other people who tried to help us.
We would like to apologize to all our fans who expected for us to compete in Lithuania.
Moving forward, the whole team will now be preparing for the upcoming WCA in China and hopefully we will not encounter any problems in obtaining our visas.
Thank you and please keep on supporting TNC and other PH teams”
According to Game Show, a mix of players from both MVP.Phoenix and MVP.Hot6ix will replace TnC at the Studio LAN in Vilniius.
