In just a few hours the European qualifiers will start with ten teams ready to duke it out for a chance to join the six invited teams at MLG World Finals that will be held in New Orleans at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center next month, from October 16th to 18th.
Unlike other tournaments that are disputing their qualifier rounds these days, MLG invited all the participating teams based on their MLG Pro Points Ranking.
“ All of the invited teams were selected based on their MLG Pro Points Ranking, which as we said at the launch of the joinDOTA MLG Pro League is awarded to players and not the teams they play(ed) for. ” - Lawrence 'Malystryx.GDS' Phillips, joinDota
That’s why both season one and season two winners, Team Empire and Ninjas in Pyjamas were not only invited to the qualifiers but they got seeded directly into the semi-finals. This gives them a huge advantage as the other eight invited teams will have to pass an unforgiven single elimination Bo3 bracket.

The victor of the EU qualifiers will secure the trip to New Orleans where they will fight for a share of $250,000 prize pool.
