With a 2-0 victory against their fellow Malaysian team Arrow, Titan claimed the first place of the Asian division of JoinDotA League. They will claim the 15% of the total prizepool, while Arrow and Scythe will settle for 7% and 3% respectively.
The joinDotA league kicked off in January, and the journey of the Asian participants has been long and tiring. Today, the journey has come to an end, with the Malaysian superstars Titan claiming the victory in the Grand Finals. The prize of their feat is $1420 (15% of JDL prize pool), while Arrow will earn $663 (7%). Scythe, the team that lost to Arrow in the second round of the jDL Asian playoffs, will go home with $284 (3%).
Titan used a very mobile line-up for the first game of the best-of-three series, with Dark Seer, Invoker and Weaver being the cores of their strategy. Their execution was one step above the opposition, as the Wisp and Batrider selections were just not enough to secure the necessary pick-offs for Arrow. For the second game, Titan managed to grab Centaur, Invoker and Lycanthrope in the same line-up, basically having the strongest arsenal this meta can offer. Despite the presence of Puck and Silencer in Arrow's selections, they just could not control the raw power coming out of Titan's heroes.
The European and American playoffs are currently being played, but we only know the two grand finalists of the American division. Evil Geniuses took down Sneaky Nyx Assassins during Round Two, securing a spot in the best-of-three final against Team Liquid. On the other side of the Atlantic, RoX.KIS narrowly defeated Power Rangers in the first match of the playoffs, to claim the right to battle against Cloud9 in the semi-finals. The winner of the match will take on the Russian powerhouse Team Empire for a chance to claim the highest reward of all the division winners in JoinDotA League.
