Previously of Meepo fame, former Fnatic player Ritter has returned to the competitive scene. His team Rex Regum Qeon will be participating in the upcoming Asian Cyber Games aka The Asia on the 27th of December.

Ritter 'Ritter' Rusli, former XcN and Fnatic player, has returned to the competitive scene with his new team Rex Regum Qeon. Known for his personal skills, Ritter is the player who introduced Meepo to the competitive scene and glorified it back in 2009, all that while playing on two seconds delay and heavy spikes.

After his short stint with Fnatic, Ritter retired from the competitive scene because, "During that time I didn’t see a promising future in game competitions. For example in Indonesia, being a pro gamer was really difficult. The prize money in Indonesia was small and so it is difficult to make a living out of the profession. Pro gaming became more like a glorified hobby rather than a job."

During his retirement, Ritter capitalized on his fame and started his own LAN cafe business in Indonesia which has been wildly successful. The announcement of his return to the competitive scene made many fans wonder if he will have enough time for practice. "I’m pretty lucky that my business has been going pretty well so that I am able to meet up with my team pretty often, around 5 – 8 times a week."

Ritter will be flying to Singapore to compete in Asian Cyber Games aka The Asia from 27-29 December alongside his teammates Farand 'Koala' Kowara, Rene 'Minerva' Michael Halim, Jeffry 'Tonberry' Martin and Azam 'NFR' Aljabar.

"We’re definitely going all out to win the ACG Grand Final as well as other DOTA 2 tournaments in the future. We all hope that Rex Regum can prove itself to be the champion of Asia first and then hope to take on the rest of the world in the near future and restore the pride back to Indonesia," Ritter said in an interview with Indodota.
