One skilled team will make it to the main stage, where they'll be competing for the $5,000 prize pool.
EGB Battles announced the beginning of their Open Qualifier stage today, which will be held online on March 3-4. The qualifiers are open for all and players can enter with a team or as a solo, according to the official registration page. The games will be played on EU servers. There are 512 listed spots; out of those, only one team will make it to the "main stage," where they'll have the chance to win the lion's share of the $5,000 prize pool.
The winning team of the open qualifier will move on to the main tournament, where they'll face off against seven invited teams. There will first be a group stage with two groups of four, where teams will play round-robin style best of three's. The top two teams from those groups will make it to the double-elimination playoffs. Those who make the playoffs are guaranteed part of the prize pool.
The invited teams come from all over Europe:
- forZe
- Nemiga Gaming
- Team Singularity
- Alternate aTTaX
- EPG
- Sprout
First place will recieve $3,000, second gets $1,250, third receives $500 and fourth goes home with $250.
