The tournament, sponsored by ASUS, is to take place in Helsinki, Finland and will feature a $25,000 prize pool.
The tournament will take place alongside ASSEMBLY, the Finnish computer convention, on January 30th and 31st. The competing eight teams will be chosen by both qualifiers and invitations, and will fight through the double elimination stage and the playoffs for a chance at the $12,000 first place prize, with $7,000, $4,000, and $2,000 prizes being awarded to the second, third, and fourth place teams respectively.
The group stages will be played on Friday the 30th, with the single elimination playoffs happening on Saturday, which will be played in a best of 3 format. Teams that wish to be sent sent a invite to attend the event must fill out an application in order to be considered. More details will be announced about the online qualifiers.
