FunPlus Phoenix and 
Leviatán, respectively. The two EMEA representatives will join Fnatic in the playoff round in the VCT 2024 Masters Shanghai.
Sunset was the pick from Team Heretics for map one. The first match between the EMEA representative and FunPlus Phoenix already brought a sense of urgency from both of them. Tension was at an all-time high as this was an elimination series. However, the VCT China representative looked out of their depth as mistake after mistake they made, making this one of the faster rounds of the tournament so far at 13-4.
However, when Lotus, the FPX map pick, started, things looked brighter, and the crowd started living again as Life made sure the home team regained their composure and led the series 8-4 for the first half of the match. Things didn't improve for the VCT EMEA representative as FPX again dismantled them in the second half with a 13-6 score.
A decider to settle their fate landed on Icebox as both teams tried to save themselves from elimination. The start wasn't ideal for the home team as they were battered left and right by the EMEA representative. Notoriously hard to defend, Team Heretics battered the home team 10-2 in the first half. However, the second half was all about the home team as they reversed the score to 12-12 and put the crowds alive.
Overtime and FunPlus Phoenix were a synonym in Masters Shanghai as they fought to save their lives back and forth. Team Heretics took an early advantage until AAAY and Autumn got the advantage for them in defence. WoOt have another story for the FPX boys. A clutch Ace using Bladestorm destroyed the home team's momentum. This victory set the win for Team Heretics and eliminated FPX.
The next series was between Leviatan and FUT Esports for the last spot in the playoff. Leviatan, fresh from eliminating T1, met with FUT, which took down Dragon Ranger Gaming in the previous swiss stage. The match was surprising for the viewers, especially in Game 1.
FUT Esports destroyed Leviatan in Sunset with a whopping 13-1 victory. This surprising result was fortified by the fact that Leviatan picked Sunset. FUT Esports dismantled the Americas representative with a mirror lineup, proving their proficiency in both Agent and map. This result stunned the Masters Shanghai viewer.
The result from Sunset woke Leviatan up, coming into the second map, Lotus. The first half was much tighter than the previous map, as Leviatan only got a 7-5 advantage. The second half proved that Leviatan could give a fight as they won it 13-11 and forced them into a decider on Bind.
FUT Esports was able to get an early advantage in Game 3. The All-Turkish team got a 7-5 half, just like Leviatan in the second map. Mazino and ATAKAPTAN were the stars of their respective team, as they could dictate the fight. However, FUT Esports, in the end, got their advantage and ended the series 13-11, advancing to the playoff.
