Version1 players will play under Shopify Rebellion in VCT Game Changers Championship 2023.
Shopify Rebellion signed Version1 VCT Game Changers roster. It includes all five players their coach, and their manager. The acquisition was made more than a week before the VCT Game Changers Championship 2023.
Version1 players will now play under a new banner. This marks a complete VALORANT exit for Version1. It was a shock to the community as Version1 players are heavy fan-favorites in the upcoming tournament. However, Version1 or Shopify Rebellion did not state the reason behind the acquisition.

Shopify Rebellion also signed former Version1 coach Loic "effys" Sauvageau and manager Angelika “lyka” Alda.
The new Shopify Rebellion pro players are prominent on different social media for showcasing their incredible mechanical skill and game sense in the game. These players have a significant following and are well-loved by the community. Indeed, their moves are at par with the VCT Champions gameplay the fans were used to seeing on the big stage.
Florescent’s name created a buzz in the VALORANT community this year for her insane outplay during the Upper Bracket semi-finals of the VCT Game Changers North America Series.
The original Shopify Rebellion GC roster missed the cut and did not qualify for the VCT Game Changers Championship 2023. The top two teams with the highest points in the North American standings qualified for the tournament. Unfortunately, the Shopify Rebellion GC roster placed 3rd.
Evil Geniuses GC and Version1 were representatives from the North American region. After the acquisition, Shopify Rebellion’s hope of taking the VCT Game Changers Championship 2023 title remains alive.
With the new roster under their banner, they have a good chance of winning the tournament.
