The king of walkouts will be with Global Esports for the VCT 2024 season.
Global Esports is rebuilding its roster with the addition of Benedict "Benkai" Tan to its lineup ahead of the VCT 2024 season. Formerly of Paper Rex, Benkai was part of the original roster that shook the world of VALORANT back in 2022 with a fourth-place finish at Stage 1 Masters in Reykjavík as well as the first-runner-up at the Stage 2 Masters Copenhagen.
However, Benkai has been on the bench for the majority of the 2023 season with his last match for PRX being the 2-0 loss against DRX in week four of the VCT Pacific League. He will now be a part of GE's new roster as they look to rebuild after a disappointing season.
GE has struggled for consistency over the past season, which included an early exit from VCT LOCK//IN as well as an eighth-placed finish during the Pacific League. This meant that the team missed out on Masters Tokyo and even though it did have a chance to qualify for VCT Champions, GE bombed out during the Pacific League LCQ.
This has led to an exodus of the starting lineup with Abhirup "Lightningfast" Choudhury being the only player to resign with the team. It remains to be seen on the other three players that will make up the starting roster for GE but all eyes will be on Benkai to bring his experience and in-game leadership to the new roster.

Benkai is most known for his co-IGL skills during his time at PRX as well as being a fan favourite for his walkouts. While his time at PRX ended in a less-than-ideal scenario, he will have the chance to showcase his worth once more on the main stage when the 2024 VCT season starts.
