Paper Rex has added Monyet to its lineup for even more ultra-aggressive plays.
The off-season is in full effect as Paper Rex has decided to add Cahya "Monyet" Nugraha, formerly of Global Esports to its lineup ahead of the upcoming 2024 season. His addition to the team will be in replacement of JingYing "Jinggg" Lim, who has officially departed PRX for his country's mandatory national service.
The VCT Pacific League champions have also bid farewell to Patiphan "CGRS" Posri, who was the team's stand-in during their third-place run at Masters Tokyo after he replaced Benedict "Benkai" Tan right before the tournament. Benkai has since joined GE after the departure of Monyet in the opposite direction.
Despite only managing an eighth-place finish during the VCT Pacific League, Monyet was seen as one of GE's most devastating players. He is best known for his plays on both Omen and Astra while also being able to utilise Viper to great extent as well as that one time he went on a tear with Raze.
Unfortanately for him, GE could only muster three wins during the regular season, which saw them miss out on Masters Tokyo in the process. And even with the Pacific League LCQ to give them a second chance of making it to VCT Champions, GE lost out to Rex Regum Qeon to end their season on a sour note.

And given his ultra-aggressive playstyle, Monyet is seen as a great addition to PRX, who are well-known for its unorthodox playstyle and agent comps. Monyet will also be the third Indonesian added to the PRX roster with the likes of Aaron "mindfreak" Leonhart and Jason "f0rsakeN" Susanto already in the lineup.
