Chinese fans are in for a live VCT action in 2024.
Riot Games announced that Shanghai will host VALORANT Masters next year. The announcement came after VALORANT officially launched in China a couple of weeks ago.
The event will celebrate VALORANT’s first anniversary on the mainland. VCT Masters Shanghai will be held mid-year of 2024 just before VALORANT Champions 2024.
VCT Masters Tokyo took place in June of this year with a huge $1 million prize pool. The event was ranked the second VALORANT tournament with the biggest prize pool alongside VALORANT Champions 2021 and 2022.
Shanghai recently hosted the VCT China Qualifier wherein three Chinese teams got the golden ticket to the most prestigious event of the year. EDward Gaming, Bilibili Gaming, and FunPlus Phoenix qualified for VALORANT Champions 2023 in the Shanghai stage.
This will not be the first time for the city to host a big event like this as it has done so in the past as well. Back in 2020, Shanghai also hosted a major international event for Riot Games, the League of Legends World Championship.

With the anticipation building up for the international VALORANT competition in Shanghai in 2024, Chinese fans can sit back and cheer for their teams in the most-awaited tournament of the year – VALORANT Champions 2023.
VALORANT Champions 2023 is set to happen from August 6 to August 26. A total of 16 teams will duke it out for the highly coveted Championship title. On top of that, a whopping $2.25 million is at stake.
Fans will surely be in for high VALORANT action and nail-biting matchups.
