After being signed to the Sentinels roster in mid-March of this year, Marved will finally get his chance to shine at VCT Americas Week 4.

VALORANT’s Champions Tour 2023: Americas League is well underway, with the fourth week of Regular Season, the “Super Week” coming to us from April 21, 2023. For Sentinels, even with countless roster changes and new signings, things have not gone well so far, but they are now hoping to change this as one of their latest additions is finally getting his chance to shine. Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen will be joining the main roster over a month after joining the squad.
Formerly of FaZe Clan, Team Envy, and OpTic Gaming, Marved signed to the Sentinels roster in March of this year but has since had some visa issues and thus not been able to make his presence felt. With his fellow Canadian teammate, Tyson “TenZ” Ngo suffering from a finger injury and testing positive for COVID-19, Marved will be brought into the main squad as they go in search of some Super Week victories.
The announcement for this came in the form of a competitive update video from the team’s recently appointed head coach, Adam “Kaplan” Kaplan. The video begins with the announcement of Drew “DrewSpark” Spark-Whitworth moving into the assistant coach role and continues to confirm TenZ’s state and the addition of Marved into the main squad moving forward.
Sentinels will have an extremely tough Super Week ahead of them as they begin with a matchup against the currently unbeaten LOUD and Made in Brazil (MiBR). With two players on their roster being ex-LOUD members, the team could have some inside information going into the series, but a lot will come down to Marved’s performances, especially after TenZ was berated for his poor form on the squad in recent times.
