He replaces WIlliam "Will" Cheng as the team’s main Operator.
It is confirmed. 100 Thieves has signed on Matthew "Cryocells" Panganiban to be part of their 2023 roster for VALORANT. He shared his signing on social media, and the team shared an introduction video of him in the new colours on youtube.
In the video, he shared that it was his dream to join the team, as it is one of the top-tier teams in NA right now with the best coaching staff. He also mentioned that his role will be essential in VALORANT and that getting kills without dying dramatically will increase the team’s confidence dramatically.
He also mentioned that he wants to hone his skills to become the best duelist in NA and cites yay as a role model for himself.
Cryocells has established himself as one of the most prolific main Operator players in the world over the past year. There is no mention of any other changes to the roster yet for 100 Thieves – time will tell if the team will snip anyone else from the roster from this point onwards.
