Sentinels get a new coach, TSM’s trying out two new players and Nigma Galaxy announce a new roster.
With Champions only a month away, shuffles are far and few in between, but there are still some signings made to strengthen the teams heading to Berlin in a few weeks. Meanwhile, others are planning for the future 2022 season, with trials and compatibility testing well underway
Sentinels
Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty has been revealed to join Sentinels as their first-ever coach. Rawkus originally is from FaZe Clan, which unfortunately ended their VCT 2021 season at the recent NA Last Chance Qualifiers.
Rawkus has played for both Overwatch League ( Houston Outlaws) and VALORANT, acting as the core founding members for the VALORANT roster for FaZe Clan. His highlights with FaZe includes finishing second at Stage 1 Masters and also finishing second in Stage 3 Challengers 2.
He posted on his social media,” if ya can’t beat 'em join 'em, time to win champs.”
With Rawkus on board, Sentinels will have less than a month to practise with him as they prepare to head to Berlin again. They will need to regain their standing after bowing out of the recent Masters Berlin in the quarterfinals thanks to Team Envy.
TSM
As they prepare for the 2022 season, TSM is set to revamp their VALORANT roster to strengthen it up further. According to reports online, Corey “Corey” Nigra from FaZe Clan and Tanner “TiGG” Spanu from Luminosity Gaming are trialling with the team to see if they can fit into the TSM roster.
If the two players join TSM, some form of buyout scheme will be needed as the two are still in contract with their previous teams. Corey has been on the radar of TSM for quite some time now and TiGG is highly sought after due to his performance within the VALORANT NA scene in the past year.
Along with the potential signing of new blood, TSM may remove James “hazed” Cobb but this is still unconfirmed as of yet by any party that is involved with the teams.
TSM is looking to better their performance in the upcoming VCT 2022 season as they failed to qualify for Champions for VCT 2021 when they lost through the regular season and the Last Chance Qualifier, which was won by Cloud9 Blue.
Nigma Galaxy
Nigma Galaxy just announced their VALORANT lineup, albeit an incomplete one. Instead of the standard 5-man team, they have only announced four persons through a social media post. The new roster is a mix of older members from Galaxy Racer as well as new members joining after the merger.
The new roster includes:
Karl
Yohann
Franz Del “Astro” Rosario
Cong “crazyguy” Anh Ngo
