PUBG Mobile returns with team and individual events at the 32nd SEA Games

With the 32nd SEA Games continuing, the PUBG Mobile tournament is about to get started, with 19 teams fighting it out over four days of action.

From May 11th to 15th the PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds Mobile tournament will take place at the 32nd Southeast Asia Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. With a total of nineteen teams from across ten regions, the tournament will test each and every player as they all attempt to claim a gold medal for their specific region. This year adds one small twist to the mix, with two bronze medals on offer.

For the first stage of the team tournament, beginning on May 11th, we will see the nineteen teams each playing a total of six games as they attempt to qualify for the finals stage. Only sixteen teams will qualify for the Finals stage, meaning that three teams will be eliminated from the event from the initial stage. The qualifying teams will play through a total of 18 matches in the Finals stage, between May 12th and 14th, which is where a gold medal champion will be decided. The point allocation system for the team event can be seen below:

On May 15th, the individual tournament will take place, as 60 players from across the regions will go in search of personal glory for their region and a gold medal placement. The point system for the individual event can be seen below:

At the 31st SEA Games, it was a Vietnamese player by the name of Phan "ViCoi" Văn Đông who took home the gold medal in the individual event, while one of the Indonesian participating teams claimed gold in the team event. While it seems as though only a few of the previous champions return for  ID in 2023, at the time of writing we are unsure if ViCoi will be returning to defend his previous gold medal.

All the action from the 32nd SEA Games PUBG Mobile tournament will be streamed via the PUBG MOBILE Malaysia Official YouTube, Facebook, and Tiktok accounts. With the likes of Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Philippines, Timor-Leste, Brunei, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, and Vietnam all fighting for their regional pride, you can expect some amazing plays and intense battles in the next few days.
