Two iconic brands in the eSports scene have merged together. CurseGaming is from now on part of Team Liquid, which means that their LCS team will also operate as Team Liquid from now on.
Team Liquid and CurseGaming have announced that both brands will merge and are now reunited under the Team Liquid banner. The two brands will act as one from now on and all eSports teams and players will operate as Team Liquid, giving the blue horses an LCS team, a challenger team, two additional Smash players and a Streetfighter player.
As for Dota 2, Liquid's Nazgul does mention that they "always had every intention to find a Dota team, the merger pushes us that much closer to achieving that goal" and that they are now in the "best position we've been in to recruit a Dota2 team worthy of the Liquid name."
Curse Gaming has already ceased all of their social media pages, namely Twitter and Facebook. It should be noted however, that "the organization known as ‘Curse Gaming’ and the company called Curse Inc. are completely separate entities. This past year, Curse Inc. was the title sponsor of Curse Gaming. Curse Inc.'s title sponsorship ended last year, and what Steve and I are embarking upon has no relation to Curse Inc."
