Earlier today ESL announced that that the WCS Season 2 Finals will take place at Gamescom, August 23rd. The event will last three days.
Though not exactly a mystery ESL's annoucement of the event's place and date has ended all speculation. Gamescom has always been IEM's stomping ground, but when the event failed to be scheduled for this August's fair, eyebrows were bound to be raised. Until today, WCS's move to Gamescom was all but confirmed.
The finals will feature a prize pool of $150,000 to be distributed among the 16 highest placing players of WCS Europe, North America and Korea. The event will be streamed free in 720p.
