Six teams remain in HoN Tour Playoffs

The second day of the HoN Tour Playoffs are in the books and six teams remain with their hope intact to reach the desert of Nevada. Today's victim was Pikachu who lost to We Are Spies in the elimination match.

Three matches were scheduled in the HoN Tour Playoffs today with Team Excellent receiving a free pass to the second round of the Lower Bracket due to the forfeit of Pencils on the first day of the competition. That set up only one elimination match with the tournament lives of Pikachu and We Are Spies hanging in the balance.

In the end We Are Spies pulled through every adversity that was thrown at them by Pikachu, mostly the adversity of a fairly quickly farmed Pebbles in Game 2 and 3. The first one saw an epic clash between Moon Queen and Dark Lady as the hard carries, with Rookie` on Moon Queen carrying the Spies to a victory. Pikachu could put up a response in Game 2, but lost Game 3 in a very close series. Their dreams of visiting the fabulous Las Vegas as a competitor for the first HoN Tour Grand Title is over now and the team will go into a minor overhaul.

In the Upper Bracket QsQ took care of business in a rather demanding fashion against Afraid. The Gold Division Champion posted a quick 2-0 sweep against the rising force of Afraid, who had absolutely no response for the team around NoVa today. They will now go to the Lower Bracket and face a tough challenger with We Are Spies, who are coming off the momentum boost of a victory against Pikachu.

QsQ on the other side will meet Tt eSports in the Upper Bracket Final. The North American team with captain LeonBlack` pushed Lions eSports into the Lower Bracket and secured themselves a prime spot, only two victories away from a ticket to Las Vegas. The Lions will need to pounce back against Team Excellent in the Lower Bracket now - a not so easy task with Pew and his team being on the rise lately. The SoundBlaster Heroes League runner-up will have their paws full with the two Greek brothers, Pew, Probusk and zintz. They are still the favorite, but the match could be considered a toss up - only one team can keep their hopes alive to go to America's Playground.
