Mineski.HyperX claimed the Championship on the Gigabyte Pacific Pro Circuit (GPPC) Dota 2 Tournament held last weekend, after topping out the 115-team playing field.
This is actually the first time in six months that a team other than Pagibig.TnC had won the event. Team Pagibig reportedly arrived at the venue shortly after they were given a default loss for their first game. This shall of course not take away any credit from Mineski, who showed a very strong performance all throughout the tournament.
One week after qualifying for the playoffs of GEST Dota 2, Mineski.HyperX have come to carry on their winning streak into this event. Among the teams they eliminated on the first day of the event, are recognized Phillippine squads like InzomiaBG and the popular Dreamz.Ledion.Steelseries.
The newly reformed Mineski proceeded to win three straight matches on the playoff day, including a Semi-Finals win against FullTilt and a Championship-clinching victory against Team Panyero.
